The Gulfport Police Department is a full-service, professional organization, and it is our goal to provide quality service in a manner consistent with the wishes of the community we represent. Ours is a classic community policing philosophy, emphasizing that the police mission is to help solve problems rather than to simply respond to calls for service.
A professional organization, the Gulfport Police Department has been accredited by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, and over one third of our sworn officers has at least a bachelor's degree.
For nearly one hundred years, the citizens, proprietors, and visitors of Gulfport have relied on their police department for quality service. We plan to continue that tradition for many years to come.
