Update to Suspicious Death Investigation

Gulfport, FL – An autopsy was completed Tuesday morning on the deceased, Dennis McFarland, DOB 08/15/50, resident of 3128 59th St S #215 in Town Shores.  According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, there were no obvious signs of trauma causing the death of McFarland pending toxicology.  Officers were originally dispatched to the scene for a welfare check and discovered the deceased.  Due to the condition of the residence (factors showing signs of a possible struggle) and body when the deceased was located it was unknown whether foul play could have been a factor, therefore, a thorough investigation began. No additional information on the condition of the residence or body at the time it was located will be released at this time.  Although further investigation will continue, there is currently nothing to indicate anybody else was directly involved with McFarland’s passing.
