GULFPORT, FL –Police are looking for help identifying suspects in an armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.  Sunday night, October 19th, at 11:22, officers responded to a call at the Kwik Stop convenience store located at 5227 Gulfport Blvd.  A passerby saw two men run into the store, and she called police to report the suspicious activity.  Her hunch was correct; the men had gone in to hold up the clerk with a shotgun.

Witnesses reported seeing the men leave the store an run north in an alley, presumably to a getaway vehicle that had been parked on 21st Avenue South.  They both were wearing dark clothing, and they had their faces covered with hoods and bandannas.  One of the suspects wore a blue sweatshirt with depctions  of Al Pacino and the letters "SF" for Scarface.

Although nobody was hurt, the man holding the shotgun repeatedly threatened to kill the clerk if he did not open the cash register.

Descriptions of the suspects are as follows:

Suspect #1 was a black male wearing black pants, black shoes, a long red shirt covered by a blue and white jersey type shirt with an "SF" emblem on the back.  He had a black hood covering his face, and he was wearing white gloves.

Suspect #2 was a black male, taller and thinner than the first suspect, wearing a long black trench coat, black pants, black shoes, a dark colored stocking over his hair and a dark colored bandana covering his face.  He was also wearing white gloves, and he was armed with a black pistol-grip, pump-action shotgun.  The stocking on his head appeared to be covering a large amount of hair as if there were dread locks underneath.

If you have any information that may help identify these dangerous criminals, call the Gulfport Police Department at 727-893-1030, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.  You may remain anonymous.
