Marine Patrol

Gulfport Police patrol nearly nine miles of coastline along the Boca Ciega Bay, as well as the entire open waterway between Gulfport, St. Pete Beach, Maximo, and the Pinellas Bayway.  To ensure this popular waterway is safe, we employ a Zodiac patrol vessel. This boat is a rigid inflatable, which is designed to faciliate safe and simple contact with other boats on the water. This LE2400 model is specifically designed for military and law enforcement work.

Several of our officers are trained to operate this vessel, which is a volunteer assignment above and beyond the officers' regular duties.
